Set off to tackle Mont Norquay and explore the Canadian Rockies from a new angle!

First, climb some of the mountain on a chairlift. Then, in the company of your guide, you will climb the rock face of Mount Norquay using a system of cables, ladders and hand rails. You will cross a footbridge to an observation deck. From there, you can take in the breathtaking views over the Canadian Rockies.

The most adventurous among you can carry on to steeper faces.

  • Seasonal activity: Available every day, from June to October only (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Departure point: Banff or Mount Norquay
     
  • Please note: times vary according to the duration of the activity. Make sure you select a time that corresponds to your chosen option
  • A shuttle service is available from the main hotels in Banff and from the town centre: see "Shuttle Timetable" document for more details. This service is only available at the times and locations indicated on the list. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please print this document to make your trip as easy as possible.
  • People who weigh more than 140kg/308lbs are not permitted to board the chairlift
  • People who weigh less than 88lbs (40kg) are not permitted to board the chairlift
  • Children under the age of 11 years are not permitted to take part in this activity
  • The activity is carried out in groups of 2–8 participants
  • Don’t forget to wrap up warm and wear weather-appropriate clothes
