After your pick-up at your hotel, you'll go to the Gold Museum which is where the guided walking tour starts. The Gold Museum is located in the historical and cultural heart of Bogotá: La Calanderia. In the museum, you'll be able to see more than 53,000 coins dating from the pre-Columbian era. You'll then head to a local handicraft centre before admiring a panoramic view of the Plaza de Bolivar. It's the most important square in Bogotá and Colombia as it's where the president's palace and the country's administrative institutions are found.
You'll then visit the Quinta de Bolivar. This museum was once home to Simon Bolivar, the former president of Colombia, known as El Libertador. You'll hop on the cable car that goes up Monserrate Hill, from where you'll get amazing views of Bogotá. This emblematic hill is home to the Basilica of the Señor de Monserrate,a local pilgrimage destination. Once the tour is over, you'll be driven back to your hotel.
