Set off for a day rich in discovery with the archaeological sites of Ek Balam and Chichen Itza, and bathe in a Cenote!

A transfer will pick you up very early in the morning at one of the meeting points in Cancun or Playa del Carmen. You'll drive to the archaeological site of Ek Balam, which you'll visit when it opens (arriving around 8am). Excavations on this site began some twenty years ago and are still ongoing. It's one of the few sites on the peninsula where you can still climb one of the pyramids and admire the panorama over the Mexican jungle.

Then it's back on the road (approx. 1 hour's drive) to the world-famous archaeological site of Chichen Itza. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it was one of the most important religious centers in the Yucatán. On your guided tour, you'll see the El Castillo pyramid, the temple of the warriors and El Caracol, the city's circular astronomical observatory.

After this morning of sightseeing, you'll have lunch (Mexican buffet) at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you'll be driven to the Cenote Samaal for a moment of relaxation (approx. 1h free time). The Cenotes are natural chasms, created by the erosion of limestone, and partially filled with fresh water. A veritable natural swimming pool, they have become a must-see when visiting the Yucatan.

You'll then head back to the meeting point, depending on the option chosen (return around 6pm).
