Discover Haleakalā National Park and enjoy an unforgettable sunset from the top of the volcano!
Your adventure will begin with pick-up from your hotel in Maui aboard a mini-coach equipped with large windows to take full advantage of the scenery. On the way, you'll stop at the Kula Lodge Marketplace, a place renowned for its unique handicrafts where you can buy snacks and light drinks before entering the Haleakalā National Park.
The park, which surrounds the world's largest dormant volcano, covers more than 30,000 acres. You'll pass ancient sacred sites and have the opportunity to spot rare species, such as the Silversword, a plant found only in Haleakalā, and the Nene goose, Hawaii's iconic bird. A stop will be made at the ranger station, located at 7,000 feet above sea level, for a moment's rest.
As you climb even higher, you'll reach the summit, over 9,740 feet above sea level, where you'll enjoy a breathtaking sunset. The sky transforms into a kaleidoscope of lights and colors, a celestial spectacle you'll never forget.
You can also visit the Haleakalā Visitor Center, a rustic 1930s stone structure perched on the edge of a cliff, before making your way leisurely back down through the changing landscapes of Maui's Upcountry. A souvenir booklet containing information on Hawaiian culture and interesting facts about Haleakalā will be given to you at the end of the tour.
