Enjoy a guided tour of Jericho, the Qasr al-Yahoud site, and the benefits of the Dead Sea!
Your guide will greet you at your hotel early in the morning and welcome you aboard the minibus, and you'll head off to Jericho, one of the oldest cities in the world. There you'll discover the old sycamore tree of Zacchaeus, famous for its significance in the New Testament.
Your guided tour of Jericho will take you to the Elisha Spring Fountain, a freshwater spring where remains dating back more than 8,000 years have been found. Continue your tour of Jericho at the Tell-Es Sultan archaeological site, the old town of Jericho, which is the lowest and oldest city in the world according to UNESCO. You'll have some free time for lunch at a local restaurant in the old town.
Your guided tour will continue with a cable car ride to the Mount of Temptation, where a Greek Orthodox monastery appears to defy gravity. You'll then be treated to a magnificent view of Jericho.
Your guide will take you to Qasr al-Yahoud, along the Jordan River, where John baptised Jesus and where many Christian visitors request to be baptised.
You'll round off your day by exploring the Dead Sea. Take a dip in the salty water and reap the benefits of the mineral-rich mud.
At the end of a culture-filled day, you'll be transported back to your hotel.
