You will leave your hotel for the terrible Death Valley. On the way, you will stop at Rhyolite, a ghost town. It was built during a gold rush and was meant to become the Chicago of the west, but was abandoned by its residents - in the meantime it served as the shooting location for the film 'The Island.'
Then you will head to the heart of the valley to discover a desert stretching as far as the eye can see. The more adventurous among you can even visit in the middle of summer, when the temperatures are at their most extreme... the highest temperature ever recorded on the earth's surface was taken here in 1913 (56.7 C / 133 F)! When you see plants, lizards and other animals crossing your path, you will be surprised to see life in such a hostile environment!
You will have a spectacular view over the valley from Hell's Gate. After visiting the peaks, you will visit the dried-up Badwater lake, at 85 metres (282 feet) below sea level, to see its dry and desolate landscape. You will also visit many other sites such as Zabriskie's Point, Devil's Golf Course, Furnace Creek Museum and Artists Pallet. At the end of this great adventure you will be dropped off back at your hotel.
