Explore Matera's historic center aboard a panoramic minibus!
Set off on a tour of Matera and its neighborhoods aboard a panoramic minibus. This tour will allow you to discover and admire Matera's must-see places. Throughout your visit, you'll benefit from historical and cultural commentaries on Matera's history thanks to the audioguide provided via a mobile app.
During your tour, you'll have the opportunity to admire:
- The Tramontano Castle situated at the top of the Lapillo hill : no stop
- The Belvedere Colombo and descent into the Sasso Barisano: short photo stop in the piazza of Matera's San Agostino church
- Travel in the Sassi of Matera: several stops
- The troglodyte churches Madonna delle Virtu and San Nicola: no stop
- The Cave House in the Sassi of Matera: 10-minute stop and tour of the Cave House with an audioguide
- The San Pietro Caveoso square: stop
- The Piccianello district: no stop
- The sanctuary of the Madonna della Palomba: stop and visit the Santa Maria della Palomba Rupestrian Church in the Regional Park of Rupestrian Churches, also known as the Murgia Park. If a visit to the church isn't possible, you'll have the opportunity to make a 5-minute photo stop at the belvedere to admire the view over the park (only for the afternoon tour)
At the end of this approximately 1h30 tour, the minibus will drop you off at the starting point.
