Spend a day discovering Lower Manhattan's emblematic sites by visiting the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
Get on one of the earliest ferries at Battery Park and head to Liberty Island. Before the crowds arrive, you will discover the famous Statue of Liberty up close and enjoy exclusive access to the pedestal!
You will then go to Ellis Island, formally known as "The Island of Hope" and "The Island of Tears". Thanks to commentary from your guide and the tour of the museum, you will discover the history of more than 12 million immigrants who arrived in the US hoping to live the American Dream.
Enjoy some free time to get something to eat and explore the city, before the second part of your day. In the early afternoon, the group meets at Saint Paul's Chapel to discover another part of New York's history: the 9/11 attacks.
Visit the different sites which pay tribute to the victims, including the American Express 11 Tears Memorial, the Winter Garden, the Fireman’s Memorial, and the Survivor’s Tree. You will then go to the Ground Zero memorial, built in the footprint of the Twin Towers.
To finish off your day, you will explore the 9/11 Memorial Museum at your own pace.
