Explore the famous Loire Valley castles on a private day trip from your hotel in Paris and follow in the footsteps of Leonardo da Vinci!
Your day will begin with a pickup from your hotel, followed by a private drive to Château de Chambord, one of the largest castles in the region, built during the reign of King Francis I. You’ll have the opportunity to explore at your own pace this Renaissance masterpiece, famous for its double-helix staircase designed by Leonardo da Vinci. Enjoy a stunning view from the château’s terrace.
Next, you’ll head to Amboise, where you'll have free time for lunch (not included). Afterward, you’ll visit the Château d'Amboise, a medieval fortress turned royal residence under the reigns of Charles VIII and Francis I. This iconic Renaissance château offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Loire Valley and houses the chapel where Leonardo da Vinci is buried.
Finally, you’ll explore the Château du Clos Lucé, the residence where Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years, invited by King Francis I. Discover his rooms, workshop, and models of his inventions. Clos Lucé also houses many replicas of his machines, as well as a park. This immersive visit takes you into the world of one of history’s greatest geniuses.
You’ll then head back to Paris and be dropped off at your hotel in the evening.
