Spend two days exploring the D-Day landing beaches, Saint-Malo and Mont Saint-Michel, by coach from Paris with a guide !
Day 1:
Departing Paris at 7:15 a.m., an air-conditioned coach will take you first to Rouen. You'll start with a guided walking tour of the historic center, featuring Notre Dame Cathedral, medieval streets, half-timbered houses and the Gros Horloge. You'll then move on to the town of Honfleur, renowned for its picturesque old port, where you'll have free time to discover this port city with its historic and artistic heritage. You can also take advantage of this free time to have lunch in the town.
You'll then head off to the Normandy landing beaches, where you'll discover the Saint-Laurent in Colleville sur Mer American military cemetery and Omaha Beach.
Weather permitting, you can also stop off at Arromanches, famous for its Allied artificial harbour.
Finally, you'll reach Caen to settle into your hotel and enjoy a pleasant dinner with the group at the hotel.
Day 2:
After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, you'll head to Saint-Malo, where your guide will show you the seaside resort's must-see sights, including the cathedral and ramparts.
After a free lunch in the city, you'll be driven to Mont Saint-Michel and its bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site marking the border between Brittany and Normandy. We'll climb up to the Mont Saint-Michel Abbey and take a guided tour of this predominantly Gothic edifice. There's free time to stroll through the village, sample local specialities and/or buy souvenirs.
Finally, you'll be back on the road by 4:30pm, returning to Paris by 9:15pm.
