The Peneda-Gerês National Park offers over 70,000 hectares of nature and was declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2009.
You'll start your day with a pick-up from your accommodation in Porto, and drive to the Peneda-Gerês National Park.
Your guide will lead you through the park's trails, where you can admire the region's unique flora and fauna. You'll discover hidden waterfalls, such as the Fecha de Barjas waterfall, where you can take a dip. Along the way, you'll pause for a picnic lunch in the middle of nature.
In the afternoon, you'll continue exploring and reach the Pedra Bela viewpoint, which offers a panoramic view of the Peneda-Gerês National Park. You'll learn about local history and legends from your guide's fascinating commentary.
