The Blue Lagoon is in south-west Iceland, about 40 minutes from Reykjavík. It was formed in 1976 as a result of excess hot water from the Svartseng geothermal power plant. In 1999, the site became a major spa resort. The lagoon's warm water is rich in mineral salts and algae, and is known for its healing properties.
You'll be picked up by a shuttle bus from the city centre or from the Reykjavík bus station. Once there, you'll enjoy a relaxing moment in a lunar landscape.
