Experience Carnival in Rio de Janeiro like a real Carioca, with your local guide!
Each year between February and March, Rio is overtaken by Carnival madness! The best way to celebrate is to participate in one of the street carnivals, and follow the "bandes" or "blocos". These popular parades, some more organized that others, gather together inhabitants of the neighborhood, group members, and even just cariocas around a theme. The names are often puns or silly, and the costumes lend a delightful feel to the festive ambiance.
Meet your local guide at the meeting point agreed to in advance, and take either the bus or metro to the center of the "zona sul" (south zone) of Rio (Copacabana, Ipanema, etc). Here you'll walk amoung the crows of the Blocos de Rua. Depending on the date and time, your guide will know where to find the best parade and festivities.
Outfitted in your best costume and most beautiful makeup, spend an unforgettable time in the middle of Rio's street carnival.

Availability: Saturday-Tuesday of the week of Carnival (February 22, 23, 24, and 25 2020)
Departure: Every day at 9am or 2pm
The exact time and meeting place will be confirmed after reservation
Commentary will be provided in the language chosen
Maximum group size is 10 participants
This activity is not recommended for those with difficulty moving around, pregnant women, and children under the age of 16
No charges will be levied for cancellations made more than 7 days before the date of the activity (excluding special dates). After this, the following charges will be levied:
Between 7 and 4 days prior: 50% of the price
After this time and in case of a no-show: 100% of the price
Any reservation made for special dates cannot be cancelled, modified or refunded.
