Situated at an altitude of 1,200 metres, the celestial valley offers views of impressive landforms: El Capitan, Half Dome, Cathedral Rocks... Yosemite Valley is criss-crossed by the Merced River and magnificent waterfalls. Some 740 metres high, Yosemite Falls are the most vertiginous and highest in North America.
A must-see for nature lovers, Yosemite Valley is also a place steeped in history. You'll have the chance to be accompanied by an experienced guide for the duration of your tour.
Day 1: Drive San Francisco - Yosemite, Visit Giat Sequoia Grove & Yosemite Valley
You'll be picked up from your hotel in San Francisco and drive to Yosemite. Along the way, you'll enjoy views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco skyline and the fields of the Central Valley. You'll stop along the way to purchase a picnic lunch (not included) before reaching Yosemite National Park.
On arrival, you'll follow your guide for a hike to the Giant Sequoia Grove. Here you can admire the world's tallest trees! You'll then hop back on the bus for a tour of icy Yosemite Valley. You'll make several photo stops at the most beautiful spots (waterfalls, rocks...).
You'll then be driven close to Yosemite Lodge for some free time. Those staying at Yosemite Lodge or Curry Village will be able to check in. You'll be free to explore the surrounding area at your own pace, and your guide will inform you of the various activity options available. The rest of the day is free to join the group for dinner (not included), or to explore the park a little further. Those staying at Yosemite View Hotel will be dropped off at the end of the day, accompanied by the guide.
Day 2: Free time in Yosemite, hike to El Capitan and return to San Francisco
You'll be driven to Glacier Point with the group, one of the park's highlights. You'll then be free to continue the day as you wish. You can hike, rent bikes, relax in one of the valley's bars or restaurants, or visit the Visitor Center. Don't hesitate to ask your guide, who knows the area very well and will be able to advise you according to your desires!
Mid-afternoon, you'll rejoin the group and stop at El Capitan, another Yosemite landmark, for one last trek before returning to San Francisco. You'll be dropped back at your hotel at the end of the day.
