Enjoy panoramic views of the Etna volcanic national park at sunset!
You will be picked up from your hotel and head to an organic farm to taste honey, wine, olive oil, and other Sicilian products.
You'll then visit a volcanic cave with your guide. Equipped with a helmet and torch, it’s time for your introduction to caving.
After exploring the depths of the volcano, you'll head to the Sapienza Refuge at an altitude of 1920 metres. Set off on a lovely hike through the volcanic park of Mount Etna to finally reach 2000 metres. See the lava flows from old eruptions and dormant craters.
You'll also get to watch a magnificent sunset over Mount Etna volcanic park.
You'll then be driven back to your hotel.

When booking, you will be asked to select your pick-up area according to the following options:
- Catania: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays
- Taormina: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays
You will also be asked to provide your hotel's address. You'll need to reconfirm your pick-up details after booking.

- Seasonal activity: from April to the beginning of September only
- availability (except in exceptional circumstances):
- Departure from Catania: every day
- Departure from Taormina: Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays - Meeting time and place: 3:30 pm from your hotel in Catania or Taormina; pick-up will be reconfirmed after booking
- The tour is not recommended for people with cardio-respiratory diseases
- Please wear closed and sturdy sports or hiking shoes and thick socks. If necessary, you can borrow equipment. Please inform us when booking if required. Just to let you know, loaned equipment may be a little dated
- Don't forget to bring a jacket as the temperature at altitude is often lower (about 10-15 degrees lower than in Catania), as well as sunglasses and a hat
- The tour program may change depending on weather conditions and restrictions imposed by authorities. In any case, our local service provider will inform you as soon as possible. Please note changes may still occur on the tour day. In case of cancellation, an alternative date or a refund will be offered (except for cable car tickets already used)
- The tour will be led by a multilingual guide who will alternate between various languages
